Prelims • Ao5 • 1-day slot

Prelims Rules

Prelims happen via the Compete page. Start your video, then login using the credentials you receive on email (event-page login — separate from website login). For every registered event, you will do an Average of 5 (Ao5).

Scheduling: Each participant competes on only one of the 3 prelim days. You will complete all your events on the day + slot you chose. Slots are shared after registrations close.

Qualification to Playoffs

  • For each event, your Prelims Ao5 ranking decides qualification.
  • Top 4 from each event qualify for the Playoffs bracket.
  • Playoffs dates: 18–19 Apr 2026 (Pyraminx/Skewb/Clock) and 25–26 Apr 2026 (3×3/2×2).

Prelims Flow (Step-by-step)

  1. Start video recording exactly as instructed on the Compete page.
  2. Login using the event-page credentials you received on email (not your website login).
  3. Select your event and begin the attempt flow.
  4. Complete 5 solves (Ao5) for that event.
  5. Submit the attempt as per the Compete page instructions.
Visibility: Keep cube + hands + timer setup clearly visible throughout.

Video Submission (Compulsory)

  • Your entire prelims attempt must be recorded on video.
  • Upload the video as: YouTube (Unlisted) OR Google Drive (View Access).
  • The video link must be submitted on the same event Compete page.
  • Deadline: Submit by midnight (23:59 IST) of your attempt day.
  • Example: If you compete on 10th April, you must submit by midnight of 10th April.
Failure to submit video will result in your solves not being verified, and your results will not go further into the official database.

Timing Options (Timer vs Typing)

  • Inbuilt timer: Time directly inside the Compete page.
  • Stackmat + typing option: Use a Stackmat timer and enter times via typing option.
  • Typed entries may be verified using your video if something looks inconsistent.

Inspection Rules

  • Timer mode: Inspection timer is compulsory.
  • Typing mode: Inspection timer is suggested.
  • You don’t need to stop inspection — you may start your solve anytime.
  • If you exceed 15 seconds inspection, penalties may apply (as per Compete page rules).

Fair Play & Verification

  • Missing/unclear video evidence can lead to review or rejection of attempts.
  • Time manipulation, scramble misuse, or unfair play may lead to disqualification.
  • Keep lighting + camera stable for smooth verification.
